“A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have.”
Fandom Running Club is excited to present the newest event in the Fanatic series:
the most massively useful 5k!
Emerging from the warped and wonderful mind of Douglas Adams, the stories surrounding the Hitchhiker’s Guide grew from radio show, to book, to television series, to motion picture and global fan phenomenon. So DON’T PANIC…we were never going to leave it out of our library of fandom fitness inspirations!
Your registration for the event includes this hoopy frood of a 3″ medal featuring the most adorable android to ever be rejected by the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation. The back carries ‘The Answer’ that we’ve come to know so well….if we only knew the actual question!
As with every FRC medal, there’s also the beautiful custom sublimated ribbon and the always popular personalized digital bib.
“‘This must be Thursday,’ said Arthur to himself, sinking low over his beer. ‘I never could get the hang of Thursdays.'”
This is a ‘virtual’ fitness event, so you can complete your five kilometer distance wherever, however and whenever you want! Where? Do it around your neighborhood, in the gym, on the treadmill, or through the corridors of a Vogon Constructor Fleet ship. How? Walk, run, skip, roll, row, or wander. When? Do it on a Thursday night (sorry, Arthur), a Monday morning, or a Saturday afternoon. It’s all up to you.
Remember that you don’t have to use any special apps to track or report your progress; the medals will ship out on the honor system. Just go be awesome!
