“‘Sassenach’. He had called me that from the first; the Gaelic word for Outlander, a stranger. An Englishman. First in jest, then in affection.”
Fandom Running Club is ‘toilichte’ to present the newest event in the Small Screen Series:
Looking to rekindle their marriage after spending the years of WWII apart, Claire and Frank Randall take a second honeymoon to Inverness, in the Scottish Highlands. When Claire takes a solo excursion to the standing stones at Craigh Na Dun to look for some flowers, she somehow finds herself in 1743 and in the arms of Jamie Frasier.
To celebrate a love that spans millennia, as well as the history, the drama, and THE CLOTHES, we have created a medal that will not only look beautiful on your medal rack, but also on your favorite shawl, chunky knit sweater, cloak, or kilt! Consider your ‘droughtlander’ temporarily reprieved!
Your registration includes this gorgeous 3″ ‘standing stones’ medal that is — and we’re quite certain of this — the first running medal that is also a functional penannular brooch, or cloak pin! As with every FRC medal, there’s also the beautiful custom sublimated ribbon and the always popular personalized digital bib!
Dinna fash yerself, ye’ve got time!
This is a ‘virtual’ active event, so you can complete your six kilometer distance wherever, however and whenever you want! Where? You can do it around your neighborhood, at the gym, on the treadmill, or on your favorite highland trail. How? You can walk, run, skip, dance, or saunter. When? You can do it on a Monday night, a Thursday morning, or a Saturday afternoon. It’s all up to you!
