Every child has a birthright to a loving, nurturing home.

Back in the summer of 2017, our community met another non-profit organization who were tapping into the energy of widespread fitness activity to raise funds for a philanthropic goal. In meeting them and getting to know their work, we were also introduced to an incredible little boy…named Charlie.

The rest was heart-soaring history.

We’re so pleased to tell the world that our charity partner for the next Whovian Running Club event is RODS: Racing for Orphans with Down Syndrome!

RODS exists to bring orphans with Down syndrome to a forever family. By raising adoption funds, they help assist families with the international adoption costs associated with bringing these sweet children home.

They raise adoption grant funds, one child at a time, by participating in organized, athletic races and awareness events. Since 2012 their grants have funded the adoptions of over fifty orphans. That’s fifty lives of care and comfort, laughter and love.

As a result of our 2017 WRC event, Charlie found his family on May 16, 2018. Our support of RODS through this event will look to fund the grant that joins another incredible child of pure joy with their loving family.

Come back promptly at Noon ET tomorrow for the unveiling of our fourth event, and get ready to make miracles happen again with RODS!
